When I was a young girl, we lived in a house right by a creek, I spent lots of time fishing in the summers, it was very fun for me. I just used a stick, fishing line,
a hook, and a worm. Well one evening I was out walking along the creek and part of the
bank gave way and I fell into the creek, it was in a deep spot, and I was all alone.
It scared me and I started yelling for help, but no one was around, thank goodness I new how to swim, I was able to swim across the creek and get out on the other side.
I was proud of myself for not panicking when I fell in, even though I was scared.
I made my way back home and all was fine.
Sometimes in our lives we fall off the bank
right into the creek of life, it is hard and it catches us by surprise. It can be
caused by many things, an unexpected… you can fill in the blank. Even though it
is a great shocker, and the water can be cold and take our breath away, we need
to swim and get to the other side where we are safe. Be kind to yourself, sometimes
this can take some time, depending on what has happened. The devil wants so
much for us to stay down, but that is not what God wants for us. He loves us so
and wants you to know he cares about your life and what happens to you. Take your
fishing pole and hook it to Him my friend. He will lead you to safty!!!
